Position Summary

As a Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting a broad range of administrative activities pertaining to the fundraising priorities and the successful operations of our office. You will be supporting the Development Officer, Grants and Director of Development and Marketing in the coordination of tasks for special projects, including the implementation and stewardship of complex major and principal gifts, donor database maintenance, supporting grant research, and more.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing established stewardship program activities and tracking progress
  • Fostering positive relationships with prospective and existing donors, including communicating directly with donors
  • Managing the donor database and donation processes
  • Drafting donor gift agreements, donor and grant briefing notes, meeting materials, impact reports, acknowledgement and recognition communications
  • Producing fundraising performance reports along with tracking and monitoring donations and deliverables
  • Updating prospect databases
  • Support in grant research


Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Fundraising or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two (2+) years’ experience in a fundraising or relationship management role with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated data management experience producing reports and a variety of communications
  • Highly developed computer skills working with MS Office; CRMs; and content management systems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and results oriented environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders i.e. volunteers, team members, donors
  • Strong team player who values collaboration
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and relationship building skills
  • Evidence of leadership and initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail and, creativity
